Dr. Ochorga Winifred Eigbiremolen is an experienced general practitioner of over 12years currently practicing in Lagos, Nigeria. She studied Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan from where she obtained a Bachelor of Medicine ,Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2009.
She is a quality champion who has worked in a variety of clinical settings including emergency rooms, inpatient and outpatient departments, gastrointestinal endoscopy and orthopedic units and is passionate about delivering quality patient-centered care to patients at all times. Her passion for excellence led her to serve as the Head of the Quality Improvement Team at Solid Rock Hospital in Ojodu, Lagos for over 3 years which enabled her to work on and supervise many Quality Improvement Projects that resulted in improved health outcomes, improved patient and staff satisfaction, as well as several awards including the PharmAccess Foundation Safecare Outstanding Facility of the Year at the 2019 Nigerian Healthcare Excellence awards for achieving and sustaining Safecare Level 4.
She is a former Clinical Director , Head of Medical Department and a member of the Management Team of Solid Rock Hospital in Ojodu, Lagos where she also provided a high standard of continuing medical care to inpatients. She has attended several medical and leadership trainings and provided trainings to employees. She supervised the participation of Solid Rock Hospital as DOTS provider in a network of private providers supported by USAID SHOPS PLUS as part of efforts to strengthen tuberculosis (TB) case detection and diagnosis in the private sector to end TB in Nigeria. This led to active case finding, increased detection of patients with tuberculosis and treatment. She participated in a workshop where a mobile app was developed to improve the ability of the private health facilities within the connected network to effectively screen , refer and link positive TB patients to care while simultaneously improving data collection and use for decision-making.
She was a panelist for the Nigeria Healthcare Quality Initiative Project Dissemination Meeting, organized by Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation and also for the SHOPS PLUS Nigeria TB- COVID 19 webinar to share experiences, discuss the impact and lessons learnt while she supervised the implementation of the projects at Solid Rock Hospital, Ojodu.
She volunteers in her community by participating in free health outreaches, giving health talks to various groups and mentoring adolescent girls.
